Couture Corner is a small-sized clothing business based out of Texas. With hundreds of new products added every season, Couture Corner empowers customers to express themselves in their unique style with the latest and trendiest fashion wear.
Couture Corner is a new brand in the clothing & apparel sector focusing on seasonal trends, primarily selling through a small physical store. The founder, Victoria Neilsen, was looking to expand her audience reach by adding a new customer touchpoint but was not interested in launching a web store. A custom ecommerce store would be too complex, time consuming, and costly for Neilsen to manage alone.

Couture Corner’s challenge was to grow sales and audience reach without a website. The Texas region offers few home-grown clothing & apparel ecommerce brands. Crownsoft’s research revealed the target audience were millennials, Gen-Y, Gen-Z, and Gen Alpha. Competitor analysis also discovered that an app with high quality responsive UI & UX with premium functionality would be needed with a prioritized focus on security, order management, personalized communication, and ease of use.
Crownsoft conducted three consultation sessions followed by two weeks of in-depth research to better understand the dynamics of the clothing & apparel industry and customer needs. Our design, development and project management teams began work on crafting a high performance ecommerce app inspired by high street competitor brands.
The design team focused on UI & UX featuring easy navigation, immersive customer journey, and captivating product visuals. The development team went to work on developing a flawless user experience, flawless navigation, secure payment integration, cart functionality, personalized recommendations, email integration, and an immersive interface.
Extensive user flow research was conducted to create a premium ecommerce customer journey. The core purpose was to ensure a flowing design that immersed users in the captivating product visuals, so they kept on scrolling through the catalog. By clearly identifying the target audience demographics by surveying existing Couture Corner customers our design team was able to determine the essential features, how users will interact with, and navigate the application.and secure payments.
The card sorting stage required our team to conduct a focus group survey with 25 existing Couture Corner customers aged between 22 and 35. It allowed us to organize content into categories that made sense to the focus group. By better understanding the natural navigation patterns of customers, our designers and developers had a better idea how to arrange categories, buttons, and CTAs intuitively.

The low fidelity design was immediately approved since it was designed with insights from real customers. Minor improvements were made to the UI in addition to integrating social buttons and finalizing the white background throughout the app interface. The app color scheme was chosen after testing seven different color palettes.

The Crownsoft design team proceeded to create a detailed, interactive prototype to resemble the end product. The color scheme, typography, image types & sizes, and content were finalized to accurately represent the app’s look and feel as envisioned by the client. The design was presented to the client to provide feedback allowing our team to promptly begin development.

Using React Native’s reusable code our team was able to develop a smooth native UX, functional feature integration, a dynamic product catalog, wishlist, add to cart, checkout process, and payment gateway integration.
